2005 was a very special year for Tsukuba and its surrounding communities thanks to the opening of TX, Tsukuba Express, in August. A big new shopping mall called Q't opened in spring just across the street from the Tsukuba Center Bus Terminal, or I should say, just outside of the new TX Tsukuba Station. Dayztown, another shopping facility also opened its doors in the spring which is only a few minutes from the Tsukuba Station on foot. |

Tsukuba "Forest of Lights" was kicked off for the first time this year on December 3rd, and the annual 100 Christmas Trees on 11th.
